Interview on CyBC's 'Εντέχνως'

Wednesday's (16 May) edition of Εντέχνως, an arts magazine programme broadcast each weekday evening on CyBC TV, featured an interview with me (conducted entirely in Greek, and beginning at around the 7:40 mark) about my work and activities. Remarkably, I didn't slip back into English too often...

Poetry's Environments at The University of Leeds

Earlier this month I contributed a performative paper at the international conference 'Poetry's Environments' organised and hosted by  Poetry@Leeds  at The University of Leeds. The conference took place over three days (9-11 June 2026) at Cloth Court Hall in Leeds city centre and the University of Leeds campus. Convened by a team headed by Kimberly Campanello , Professor of Poetry and Director of Poetry@Leeds,  'Poetry's Environments' aimed to "consider poetry that addresses the natural environment and the environments in which poetry is written, experienced, performed, preserved, and studied" by bringing together "international poets, critics, translators, archivists, activists, textual editors, digital specialists, literary professionals, and individuals, groups and organisations involved in poetry and its environments". Belfast Book Festival 2022

I very much look forward to this year's edition of the Belfast Book Festival, taking place 10-19 June, and in which I will be participating in a range of ways. Especially since my scheduled participation in 2020, arranged by a different programming team, unfortunately did not happen due to the festival's cancellation that year. So my contribution to the  Belfast Book Festival 2022 takes three different forms: 1/ Reading and Conversation -  Literary Collage With Sophie Herxheimer & Christodoulos Makris : This intimate event will query the potential of the many sources of found and discarded language as source texts for the creation of new literary material. publication of Muses Walk

gone walkabout I'm very happy to announce that Muses Walk , my new chapbook / artist's book, is now available in an individually-numbered edition of 100 copies. The first three of these have been donated to 'An Inventory of Al-Mutanabbi Street', for which project the book was originally conceived (I have been writing  a series of posts on my involvement with this project, the idea behind the book, its relevance to the project and also to the rest of my work, and its development). The remainder will be available to buy at readings and events, and can also be purchased directly from me on request. The price is 5 Euro. Writing, producing visual material, designing, laying out the text and images, printing, binding, cutting and generally publishing Muses Walk is proving a hugely valuable experience, if only as a sobering lesson in small-scale book-making and publishing.
