'Public-Private Announcements' at Camarade IV

Here's James Wilkes and I performing  'Public-Private Announcements' at Camarade IV last Saturday . The event displayed a wide range of approaches to collaboration, in terms of both composition and performance. It's testament to a spirit of interrogation that currently permeates a particularly innovative strand of the poetry scene in London (extending elsewhere in Britain) - which is being nourished in no small part by Steven Fowler's tireless work and generosity. Footage of all 13 performances is available on Steven's YouTube channel . I particularly enjoyed Peter Jaeger with Tim Atkins, Kirsty Irving with Ryan Van Winkle, and Daniel Rourke with Holly Pester. An anthology collecting the texts from all editions of Camarade is due out later this year.

Irish University Review 55.2 (Autumn/Winter 2025)

The Autumn/Winter 2025 issue of Irish University Review (Vol 55 No. 2) published in January 2026 carries two distinct contributions from me: The first is an interview I gave to Lucy Collins, Associate Professor of Modern Poetry at University College Dublin and editor of Irish University Review , reflecting on my curatorial project 'Is this a poem?' at Museum of Literature Ireland (MoLI). It bookends the exhibition nicely since a public conversation with Lucy was a core element of its launch on 23 February 2024. This interview revisits some of the themes of that initial, undocumented conversation. It is based on the transcript of a new post-project conversation we recorded at MoLI for the museum's digital channel, RadioMoLI , in June 2025. Poetry's Environments at The University of Leeds

Earlier this month I contributed a performative paper at the international conference 'Poetry's Environments' organised and hosted by  Poetry@Leeds  at The University of Leeds. The conference took place over three days (9-11 June 2026) at Cloth Court Hall in Leeds city centre and the University of Leeds campus. Convened by a team headed by Kimberly Campanello , Professor of Poetry and Director of Poetry@Leeds,  'Poetry's Environments' aimed to "consider poetry that addresses the natural environment and the environments in which poetry is written, experienced, performed, preserved, and studied" by bringing together "international poets, critics, translators, archivists, activists, textual editors, digital specialists, literary professionals, and individuals, groups and organisations involved in poetry and its environments".
