Wurm Press poets at the Twisted Pepper

On Saturday 20 August I'll be reading with Cah-44 and Karl Parkinson for a Wurm Press poets showcase hosted by the Seven Towers agency. We'll be at the Where It's At underground bookmarket, housed every Saturday afternoon at the Twisted Pepper building (downstairs in 'The Box'), 54 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. Start time is 3pm, and admission is free.

re:verb 2026: a festival of contemporary poetry & the verbal arts (5-6 June 2026)

I'm excited to announce that this summer I'm piloting a small festival of contemporary poetry and the verbal arts in Dublin: re:verb  is a platform showcasing poetry and verbal art that predominantly strays from the mainstream, and aims to expand the potential of live literature. Its purpose is to offer an outlet and an encouragement for new forms and approaches to the making and presentation of contemporary poetry and literature that privilege liveness and vibrancy. And as a small poetry/verbal arts festival, re:verb  aims to operate on a model that relies on a communal, artist- and audience-centred stake in its workings. My poem 'New Year's Eve', from Spitting Out the Mother Tongue , was broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 on Thursday 29 December, during the mid-morning show Today with Pat Kenny. It was part of a 25-minute section of poems and prose extracts on the themes of winter, Christmas and the New Year, compiled and presented by Niall McMonagle. A podcast of this section of the show is available on the RTÉ website (the introduction to my poem, read by actor Barry Barnes, starts at around 14:45).

Recent Press (Part I): Stride Magazine / The Stinging Fly / Long Poem Magazine / 'The Greece That Hurts'

I'm grateful for attention my work continues to receive from other poets and writers, reviewers and editors, essayists and academics. I'm especially pleased when this is not confined to discussions of the most recent book, but extends to the broader arc of my practice, giving a multifaceted and cumulative reading of it.
