Interview on CyBC's 'Εντέχνως'

Wednesday's (16 May) edition of Εντέχνως, an arts magazine programme broadcast each weekday evening on CyBC TV, featured an interview with me (conducted entirely in Greek, and beginning at around the 7:40 mark) about my work and activities. Remarkably, I didn't slip back into English too often...

Poetry's Environments at The University of Leeds

Earlier this month I contributed a performative paper at the international conference 'Poetry's Environments' organised and hosted by  Poetry@Leeds  at The University of Leeds. The conference took place over three days (9-11 June 2026) at Cloth Court Hall in Leeds city centre and the University of Leeds campus. Convened by a team headed by Kimberly Campanello , Professor of Poetry and Director of Poetry@Leeds,  'Poetry's Environments' aimed to "consider poetry that addresses the natural environment and the environments in which poetry is written, experienced, performed, preserved, and studied" by bringing together "international poets, critics, translators, archivists, activists, textual editors, digital specialists, literary professionals, and individuals, groups and organisations involved in poetry and its environments". The Burning Bush 2, Issue 2

The Burning Bush 2 is an online 'revival' of the original Burning Bush  magazine , which was published in print from Galway between 1999 and 2004. I remember coming across a couple of issues just before it ceased publication and being impressed by what I saw as an outward-looking, experimentalist ethos and underlying radical dimension - a refreshing approach in a conservative Irish poetry scene. TBB2 , edited from Dublin by Alan Jude Moore , aims like its predecessor to publish work from a mix of new and established writers while operating under new publishing and social conditions. It therefore represents both a revival of and a break from the original magazine. Issue 2, published last week and available both as a download and on the magazine's website , includes two new poems of mine . There's also excellent work from, among others, Kimberly Campanello and co-founder and editor of the original magazine, Michael S Begnal.

Inhabiting Distances at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale

Two poems from my second book The Architecture of Chance,  as well as an excerpt from my as yet unpublished long poem 'Capital' , are featured in Anachoresis: Upon Inhabiting Distances , an anthology accompanying the Cyprus entry at the 17th Architecture Biennale in Venice. The Cyprus Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia "addresses the spatial experiences that occur when inhabiting distances becomes a paradigm for the development of new socialities. The notion of anachoresis, as explicated by Roland Barthes in  How to Live Together , denotes an abrupt departure into spaces of atypical and idiorrhythmic manifestations of cohabitation."
