Prague Microfestival 2026

I look forward to returning to Prague Microfestival for its 18th annual edition, eleven years after my first participation in 2015.

This year's edition is titled 'Erasurism'. It takes place over the weekend 30 October - 1 November 2026 at HYB4 - Kampus Hybernská (Sklep E) in the heart of Prague.

Prague Microfestival is an annual festival fusing contemporary writing, art, film, theory, dance, music and performance. It originated as the successor of the Prague International Poetry Festival (2004) and it "remains integrated within local Prague culture, as a multilingual environment fostering critical cultural dialogue."

The 2026 festival programme includes video screenings, installations, book launches, dance performances, music sets, workshops and live poetry readings among other forms of contribution from authors and performers based across the world. The format of the main poetry readings this year requires short sets from each participant on each of the evenings; I will therefore be delivering a separate 6-minute set representing a different book or project of mine for each of my three events.

My participation is kindly sponsored by The Department of Foreign Affairs via The Embassy of Ireland in Prague, in collaboration with the Centre for Irish Studies at Charles University. With thanks to all - as well as to Festival co-founder and co-director David Vichnar for the invitation.
