collaboration event at Poets Live, Paris

On Tuesday 6 October I'll be returning to Poets Live, the excellent reading series presenting anglophone poetry to Paris audiences, to perform from my 3-year long and ongoing collaboration with Kimberly Campanello.

Beginning with the material we prepared for the 2013 edition of Camaradefest at the recently-reprieved Rich Mix arts centre, Kimberly and I have been conducting a correspondence through poems sent by snail-mail from and to various locations, our conversation revolving around items intended for public exhibition.

In addition to our collaboration we will also read from our own work.

The current Poets Live venue is Berkeley Books of Paris, 8 rue Casimir Delavigne, 75006 Paris (Métro: Odéon) and start time is 7.30pm. Admission is free.

Earlier this year I provided an introduction to Kimberly's work for her entry on the Irish section of Poetry International.

Inflammatory Speech: an Irish Museum of Modern Art commission

In July,  Nathan O'Donnell ,   Suzanne Walsh  and I operating as a collaborative unit received one of three project commissions from the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) to create new work in response to the ROSC 50 exhibition. After a four-month research and composition period, our resulting collaborative text and performance 'Inflammatory Speech' will be presented on  Saturday 11 November at 2pm in The Johnston Suite at IMMA  as part of  an event showcasing the ROSC 50 artist research commissions. Admission is free, but  booking is required  as places are limited : "Audiences are invited to attend a seminar comprising of artists’ performance, lecture presentations, screening and a panel discussion. This includes research projects in response to the Rosc exhibitions: 'Prologue' by artist Amanda Coogan , 'Poverty of Vision' by Emma Haugh and a collaborative project titled ‘Inflammatory Speech’ by Christodoulos Makris, Nathan O’Donnell and Suzan

Reading at the Twisted Pepper

On Wednesday (6 June) I'll be a guest of the Seven Towers Agency for their monthly First Wednesday lunchtime reading . We'll be at the Twisted Pepper on Dublin's Middle Abbey Street, and I'll be reading with Peadar O'Donoghue . Start time is 1.15pm.
